Clarinet Play Condition
  • Examine pads for excessive wear and replace as necessary*
  • Check mechanism for proper movement
  • Replace key corks and felts as necessary
  • Reseat pads as needed
  • Regulate & lubricate mechanism
  • Check tenon corks and replace if needed
  • Test play
Soprano - $45 plus $5 per pad , $3.50 per tenon cork, key corks and felts included
Bass - $60 plus $5 per pad , $3.50 per tenon cork, key corks and felts included

soldering broken keys may incur additional charges
*If more than 4 pads need to be replaced, a tune-up or mechanical overhaul should be considered.

Clarinet Tune-Up
  • Check mechanism for proper movement
  • Disassemble mechanism
  • Clean body & keys
  • Examine pads for excessive wear and replace as necessary*
  • Replace key corks and felts as needed
  • Refit keys between the posts eliminating wobble or binding
  • Reseat pads as needed
  • Regulate & lubricate mechanism
  • Check tenon corks and replace if needed
  • Test play
Soprano - $90, Bass - $120 ($180 for low C)
plus $4 per pad ($5 for bass), $3 per tenon cork, key corks and felts included
soldering broken keys will incur additional charges

*If more than 8 pads need to be replaced, a mechanical overhaul should be considered.

  • Check mechanism for proper movement
  • Disassemble mechanism
  • Clean body & keys
  • Oil wood bodies
  • Polish keys
  • Replace all pads, corks, and felts
  • Replace necessary springs
  • Replace all tenon corks
  • Reface tone holes as needed
  • Refit keys between the posts eliminating key wobble or binding
  • Seat pads
  • Regulate mechanism
  • Test play
